For the past year
I've been hard at work alongside community leaders to make meaningful changes in our neighborhoods. We've repaired over 200 street lights, opened over 15 new businesses, made repairs to all 11 parks. and started one new Neighborhood Association (in Parkhill and Algonquin!).
In addition, I've been a driving force behind efforts to upgrade our public infrastructure, ensuring our neighborhoods are safer and more accessible to everyone. By actively involving the community, we've revitalized parks and recreational spaces, giving families clean, inviting areas to gather and enjoy. Plus, our focus on road maintenance and smarter traffic management hasn't just made residents' daily commutes smoother—it's also attracted new businesses, fueling economic growth and vitality throughout the Sixth District.
We've accomplished a lot in one year... but, as Kobe said, "The party's just getting started. This is where the fun starts!"
Clean, Safe, Vibrant
When you ask a political candidate "What are you gonna do?," most respond with the same-old clichés: public safety, lower taxes, plant more trees, bring new businesses, yada yada yada. Never any specifics on HOW they will do that.
After last November's election, I sat down with my team to plan out what we would do next. There were plenty of great ideas: new parks, infrastructure and traffic changes, community events... but there was no connection— no foundation. After talking with many neighbors, three constants emerged: We all want clean, safe and vibrant neighborhoods. Three simple words, but they mean so much to all of us.

Mahatma Gandhi asked his neighbors to pledge "I shall not litter and won't allow anyone to do so." Louisville is a beautiful place and I pledge to do my best to keep it that way. We currently have the following projects in progress:

Investigating the MSD-related Odors throughout the District
Creating an Alley Cleaning plan
Auditing the location and needs of our Street Trash Cans
Working with the owners of the upcoming Limerick Concrete Plan to reduce dust and debris
Implementing beautification improvements on Algonquin Parkway
Continuing to cleanup brownfield sites in Parkhill, Algonquin and Taylor-Berry
Citing and Fining apartment complexes that allow littering
Implementing the lessons learned from the Old Louisville Street Cleaning pilot

Funding all outstanding Speed Hump requests
Funding all outstanding Sidewalk repair requests

Growth is inevitable, but destruction of our neighborhood character is not. The question is not whether our part of the world is going to change— The question is how. I believe that when we come together, we are at our strongest. We currently have the following projects in progress:
Algonquin, Oak Street, Barret Avenue, Logan Street and Taylor-Berry economic development. We're working with Mayor Greenberg to focus attention on the business corridors in the Sixth District.
Partnering with an established community developer to start a true Grocery in Parkhill/Algonquin
Hosting public meetings to begin planning for updates in All Sixth District Parks
Working with our Neighborhood Associations to expand membership
Coordinating a brand-new program to enhance and engage the lives of our Senior citizens
Working to enhance the Arthur Kling Senior Center
Sponsoring live music for the Old Louisville Farmer's Market
Hosting a Summer Concert Series throughout our Parks
Sponsoring Kentucky Shakespeare to continue in Central Park and expand to other parks in the District
Funding Neighborhood Banners for all our neighborhoods
Revitalizing Algonquin Day
Helping to sponsor Parkhill Day
Supporting the reopening of the Shelby Park Library
It’s a lot
These are real projects that we are working on. Some will take more time than others, and some things will change along the way— but this is my plan. And I'm always open to your ideas for more!
